•The compound is called VILLA VERDE and consists of:
- the Main Villa with Master Bedroom with large en-suite bathroom, Twin Bedroom with adjoining second bathroom. Spacious living, dining area with panoramic views over the pool and ocean, separate kitchen. It can sleep up to four people.
-Optionally, (additionally, available to the guests of the main villa only and subject to extra charge - please ask the owner ) there is an adjoining cottage with spacious bedroom, bathroom and kitchenette that can be rented providing additional comfort to the guest of the main villa, and sleeps up to two more people. It is available for rent just for the party renting main villa but at extra cost - please inquire.

*Villa Verde in Martinhal Beach is lovingly designed and cared for by its owners to provide unforgettable holidays for families with children and groups of adults. Located in a quiet cul-de-sac in the exclusive Martinhal Resort Development, Villa Verde offers luxurious privacy and calm, yet is a stroll away from sports and dining facilities on the famous golden sands of Martinhal Beach (with two restaurants and water sport facility) and a short walk to the picturesque village Sagres with its restaurants, shops and lively night life.
• Modern solar installations provide heating to the pool and house in a sustainable manner, while the layout is designed to shelter from wind and allow you to soak up the sun while overlooking the Atlantic ocean and islands of Martinhal Bay. The house is insulated to the highest standards, staying cool in summer and warm in winter without AC; Solar panels keep the house warm in winter (underfloor heating); Photovoltaic panels reduce the energy consumption;
•Unobstructed views from Villa and sheltered pool area over sand dunes, beach, dramatic islands and ocean as well as across the bay to Sagres town and fishing port
•Solar-heated, chlorine-free (salt sanitised) 12.5m long pool with shallow 0.90m and deep up to 1.90m ends allows for play and swimming laps in equal measure. A motorised safety cover allows closing of the pool when not in use;

•Lovingly furnished and decorated with superior bed linen and premium mattresses, comfortable sofas and dining table;

•Spectacular Martinhal beach is in ca. 4 mins walk from Villa Verde. The beach has two restaurants, equipment rental and lessons and lifeguards all summer.
•Kids play areas with features including trampolines, bouncy castles and bungee are also a short stroll away;
•Sagres town is a short walk or bike ride (bicycle hire available nearby) away and offers additional beaches, a large choice of quirky restaurants and lively night-life. Surfing and body-boarding lessons as well as whale and dolphin-watching and diving expeditions are also available.

Summary: Can’t say enough on how perfect the accommodations were. Beautifully built Villa with an amazing view, very large outdoor patio, with a nice sized, clean pool for laps or play. The area was, and felt, extremely safe. Short walk to the beach, which has a couple of restaurants for food or drinks. We were amazed on how short of a drive into the main town of Sagres was, under 5 minutes. Location was ideal for that short drive into town, or good take off spot to all the more remote beaches/attractions. Highly recommend!

Summary: Villa Verde was a wonderful place to stay during our trip to the Algarve. Richard and Lena were attentive hosts who provided excellent recommendations during our stay. The property was clean, spacious and well equipped and the location was perfect to explore the south and west coasts of Portugal. We wouldn’t hesitate to return if we are lucky enough to visit Portugal again.

Summary: Thanks so much to Lena and Richard for providing such a well-equipped villa for a truly relaxing week's holiday. The high point is the beautiful pool. The 12.5 metre length makes it perfect for swimming and the salt water makes it kind to your skin. Both girls really enjoyed improving their diving skills over the week! Casteljo beach and restaurant are well worth visiting.

Summary: Lena and Richard were great hosts for our visit to Sagres. Their Villa could not have been more perfect for our family. Everything was pristine and well organized. We loved waking up and looking out over the huge pool to see the ocean in the distance while we ate our meals on the patio. The owners were very helpful with suggestions for dinner and other places to check out around Sagres and beyond. Out favorite was Nortada right on the beach - such great fresh fish walkable from the house. We could go to the beach and dinner without ever getting in the car. Best of all Lena and Richard went out of the way to make sure that our almost year old son had everything for a fun trip - not just a crib and high chair (the crucial things) but also beach toys, pool toys and even flaoties to swim. We hope we make it back to Sagres to stay at this villa again!

Summary: We had a week at villa verde at the end of September. What a wonderful place. Exceeded all expectations. Perfect location just a couple of minutes walk from a tranquil beach and a 15 minute drive from some of the best surfy beaches we've visited. The villa itself is equipped with everything you could possibly need on holiday, great gas BBQ outside and water in the pool was just wonderful. Thank you so much.

Summary: Firstly, the Villa was absolutely immaculate, a huge amount of care and attention to detail inside and out. If you are looking for a Villa within easy reach of Faro this is a great choice. Restaurant Nortada, within 5 minutes walk and sitting on the beach, sells fresh fish and plenty of other options for our 9 year olds. Richard and Lena were the most gracious hosts, waiting for us on arrival to run through the Villa and local landmarks. Great tips for restaurants too, Selema had some fabulous options for fish and meat alike. A great villa, thank you. Richard and Janette

Summary: It was a successful holiday. This is due to the owners of the villa, the location and the beautiful villa. First, the owners are very kind and generous ... helped us in every way. They have recommended us many places that we wouldn’t have seen them if they wouldn’t told us about them. Second, the location is a dream, with a beautiful and quiet beach where you can do many water sports (on the recommendation of the owner-Richard, we made wind surf with the best surfer-Dani ... was a unique experience). Thirdly, the villa is very well equipped, very modern and located just 3 minutes from the beach. The wind is quite strong in the area, but due to location of the villa, doesn’t feel at all. The pool is also great, the water is 28 degrees and is based on saltwater-perfect for our kids. We had a great time there and even if we stayed 3 weeks we didn’t tired of the beauty of the place. So, if you want to go…go because you will not regret it. Thanks for all Lena and Richard and see you in the near future! We promise that we will come back! Ramona and family
